The Decision Pattern

Making research
more accessible.

We want more people to use The Decision Pattern, including people with disabilities. Here is where we stand and how to get help if something gets in your way.

Statement updated

Our current status.

We are partially conformant: some pages and features still need improvement.

This statement covers content on thedecisionpattern.com. External websites and services are outside our direct control.

Standards we work toward

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) guide our improvements.

Minimum target
WCAG 2.1 Level AA
Preferred target
WCAG 2.2 Level AA

We also consider EN 301 549 in our accessibility reviews. These are goals, rather than a claim of full conformance.

Work still in progress.

Older layouts

Some older report and admin pages still need accessibility improvements.

External services

Some third-party tools are still awaiting accessibility checks. Their interfaces are maintained by their providers.

Downloadable reports

Some documents are still awaiting review of their structure and tags for screen readers.

Adjust the experience
to suit you.

These browser and device settings may make the page easier to use.

Use a keyboard

Press Tab to move between links and controls, and Shift + Tab to go back. Press Enter to open a link. Use Enter or Space to activate a button.

Make text larger

Use your browser’s zoom controls to enlarge the page. This page rearranges into a single column at narrow widths so you can read it without scrolling sideways.

Reduce animation

Turn on your device’s Reduce Motion setting, or the equivalent accessibility preference. This page follows that setting by removing movement from its entrance and expand animations.

Useful details to include

  • The page or report you were using.
  • What you were trying to do.
  • What stopped you from completing it.
  • Your browser, device, or assistive technology, if known.

Share what you can. Any details can help us investigate.

How we review access.

We use automated checks, keyboard tests, and text resizing and layout checks to find issues. Manual and screen reader reviews remain important for assessing the full experience. Automated tests do not identify every barrier.
